New GSLW Logo Contest

We will be developing and voting on a new club logo this summer so let us hear your ideas! Simple idea, simple sketch to elaborate design, we would love to hear from you!

We will either be in the Ice House or on the Picnic Tables this Tuesday.

Our soapstone Carving Event begins on June 12th so please get with Jim Valentine (email JimValentine9@gmail.com ) and sign up for an afternoon or morning of soapstone carving with the kids at Wheeler Farm.

 

June 12 & 13 - 1:40 to 4:30

June 14 & 15 - 9:00 to 12:00

June 26 & 27 - 1:40 to 4:30

June 28 & 29 - 9:00 to 12:00

 

July 10 & 11 - 1:40 to 4:30

July 12 & 13 -9:00 to 12:00

July 23 & 25 -1:40 to 4:30

July 26 & 27 -9:00 to 12:00

 

August 7 & 8 -1:40 to 4:30

August 9 & 10 - 9:00 to 12:00

 

We need at least 5 people for each session, you dont have to know what you are doing, it is a simple session of carving soapstone with files and sandpaper. This is an important part of our club, this is how we help to pay for the use of Wheeler Farm, we really need your help on this one!

This will be our first Santa project for the Camp Kostopolous Christmas Tree. Beginning on May 22nd we will have cutouts available, think about purchasing an extra one so you can carve two, one to give and one to keep!
