Idaho Woodcarvers Jamboree 2010

The Idaho Woodcarvers Jamboree is back and has a new location and a sponsor. We just could not let a good thing disappear so there will be a Memorial Day weekend carving seminar on May 29 thru 31. This year the Jamboree will be sponsored by the Boise Woodcraft store that has been so generous in its support of all of the clubs associated with wood working by providing space for classes and club meetings.

The line up of instructors

 

Rick Jensen, well known for his innovative technique for carving outstanding 3 dimensional bark cottages. And a really fun guy to take a class from.

 

Marv Kaisersatt, an award winning carver who is arguably one of the most talented caricature carvers in the country.

 

Pete LeClair(PeteLeClair.com) known for his distinctive carving style and sense of humor.

 

Charlie Phillips carves both caricature and floral relied but is best know for elegant floral relief.

 

Cleve Taylor, Vic Otto and Gene Fuller. With these three you are bound to have fun and learn at the same time.

 

Sandy Taylor will teach two classes for the stamping enthusiasts and Jackie Fuller will have two new classes for quilters.
